“The UFO Girl” Wraps Principal Photography

Tinker Tone Pictures has wrapped principal photography on “The UFO Girl”. It was an amazing whirlwind seven days and we enjoyed working with each and every person in the cast and crew. We’d like to thank the city of Cloverport, KY and High Score Player Two in Evansville, IN for graciously allowing us to use their space and resources for the film. This was an undoubtedly group effort and would not be possible without all involved. We look forward to everyone meeting our UFO Girl Nikki Jones very soon!

INTRODUCING TINKER TONE PICTURES!

Bethany Westerfield, Shane Devon

On Jan. 1, 2020, aspiring filmmaker Shane Devon will launch Tinker Tone Pictures, a new indie film project out of Owensboro, Ky. Following in the footsteps of other Owensboro film production companies, Tinker Tone Pictures is looking to make independent films in the area.

“What P.J. Starks (Blood Moon Pictures) and Daniel Benedict (Red Serial Films) have done in the arena of film production in and around the Owensboro area showed me this is possible,” Devon said. “I’ve always wanted to make movies and those guys are actually out there doing it. So why not me? I’ve had this idea for a while and I figure it’s now or never.”

The first project from Tinker Tone Pictures is a sci-fi adventure film called “The Third Rock Five”. The screenplay, written by Devon, was developed with Bethany Westerfield and Amanda Devon.

“’Third Rock Five’ has just been a really cool concept from the start,” says Westerfield. “It’s magical, and I don’t know if there’s enough magic in the world today.”

Film production isn’t an entirely new concept for Shane Devon. His YouTube comedy troupe OctoberRoad (featuring himself, Kent Blue and David Goble) saw marginal success in the early days of the platform. He wrote, directed, shot and edited sketches for their web series “The Basement”. Though production values were practically non-existent, their videos received well over 3 million combined views on the strength of the content.

“We unfortunately didn’t care about lighting or sound or anything back then,” Devon laughs. “This movie will be a different story. We’re shooting on 16mm film and recruiting the best talent in the area for cast and crew. We’re doing this right.”

Westerfield says, “I’m super excited to eventually get to a point where we can share it with everyone else.”

Tinker Tone Pictures will be reaching out to the community this spring for those who wish to participate in the production. In the meantime, you can visit their website for updates and more information (www.tinkertonepictures.com) or email at info@tinkertone.com.
